Intensive asana should be allowed, but loose hips are required and thigh-bending muscles should relax while stretching intensively.
As with many peaking exercises, the goal is never to perform the given asana perfectly, but only to reach the most acceptable point of the current hold. It is not the goal, but to pay attention on the way there, as the hips open up by movement, relaxing muscles, other experience in your body after a while.

2025.06.10 Keeping the Balance
At first reading, this subject may seem controversial. What makes us vulnerable is that we're not necessarily kept completely safe by the soil, standing on the ground with two legs is safe and it stabilizes us.
I think that this is exactly the teaching power of the equilibrium asanas: to find our own inner stability, our own strength of preservation, which is why I love equilibrium asanas! Being stable from an asana requires enormous internal strength and self-discipline in a situation a little outside of the comfort zone. It's often said in class that it's never about strength, because whenever we're out of control, but coming back from there, that's a job we never solve out of strength, but from the rapid response of our bodies and muscles, which starts in the brain, in the mind.
This is what we are going to do today. On the one hand, how to create internal stability and put ourselves in a situation that is not necessarily stable and, on the other hand, learn to react quickly.
At the end of the class, I hope you will not realize how much preparation is needed for a steady asana, because you can easily move from one to another.

The tension of muscles and tissues in the hip area can cause a number of problems. If the hip is tied, it can limit our movement and cause pain in the back, knees and legs. Tight hip muscles can make it harder to maintain correct posture, which in the long term can cause muscle tension and pain.
The hip is important not only from a physical point of view, but also from the point of view of spiritual development. The area of the hip is also related to the root chakra and the sacral chakra, which are places of safety, stability and emotional expression. If the hip is bound, it can interfere with the free flow of emotions, which can lead to anxiety, stress and blocking creativity. The feeling of tenseness in the hip is often linked to fears, uncertainty, and past traumas.
Relaxing the hip can help reduce physical pain, improve movement and restore posture. In addition, relaxing helps to dissolve emotional blocks, allowing freer expression and creativity to develop. Meditation, yoga and stretching exercises can all help to relax the hip, so they can support not only our physical but also our spiritual well-being.

This time, I will devote the hour to the momentum of summer. June has arrived, summer has already come to a great extent in our surroundings, but now I say we should also tune in.
When I think of the summer, I always think of the gentle wave of the sea, as the salty summer air is ringing around me and caressing my face. Although here in Szeged we have no sea or salty air, but we can also create the flow and rocking in ourselves!
As a beach vacation can make you feel calm and cozy, a little ripped out of your everyday cycle, I hope that this 90-minute yoga class can bring that effect even for a few hours.
